The Board of Governors will accept contributions to a fund which will be used to:-

1. subsidize the travelling expenses of pupils and supervising teachers in connection with the School's competitive games programme;
2. subsidize the participation of pupils and supervising teachers in approved educational/cultural activities which form part of the School's planned extra-curricular programme;
3. facilitate the purchase and maintenance of equipment and pay affiliation fees of approved extra-curricular activities;
4. finance the School Magazine; act as a contingency fund to promote the well-being of the School.

Parents Contribution

Parents of pupils currently attending the School will be invited at the commencement of each School year to make a voluntary contribution to the School Fund.

The School Fund Bank Account

The School Fund bank account will be used as a holding account for:-

1. The annual voluntary contribution by Parents;
2. Contributions to the School by the Parent-Teacher Association;
3. Contributions to the School by supportive individuals and organizations for general purposes;
4. Planned profit making venture by the School;
5. The transmission of tuition fees and schools meals payments by parents to the South Eastern Education and Library Board;
6. The handling of all monies associated with the School's non-statutory curricular, and extra-curricular activities (including collections and donations to Charity).

For those activities which involve the handling of a substantial amount of money for a period greater than two months and where the expenditure will not be greater than the associated income arrangements may be made with the activity organizer for an acknowledgement of accrued interest.

The practice in maintaining the School Fund Bank Account will be to retain sufficient funds in the current account to meet day-to-day demands and to place the remainder in an interest bearing account.

The operation of the School Fund will be monitored by the Board of Governors through periodic statements showing income and expenditure under appropriate headings.

For 2009/10 the school fund will be as follows:-

£40 a year for each child or £60 for two or more children
