All individual problems of discipline or welfare should be referred, in the first instance, to the pupil's Form Teacher who will liaise directly with the Year Head or the Head of Section for appropriate action.
Serious problems must be referred to the Head of Section who will liaise with the Headmaster/VP as appropriate.
Pastoral issues should be referred to Mrs M Aiken or the Vice Principals for attention.
Within this system there can, and should be flexibility, e.g. certain pupils may have a greater rapport with a particular subject teacher than with the Form Teacher. If that exists, it is valuable and should not be destroyed. However, it is vital if a problem is revealed in this way, that the teacher(s) involved should advise the Form Teacher or Year Head directly.
